Chris Edmunds, 21, is always working hard towards becoming a better athlete and a better cyclist overall. He has an extensive sports background that includes soccer, riding dirt bikes, surfing . . . you name it. His love for two wheels started surfacing when he was riding dirt bikes. He started racing in the desert in high school and got hooked on the adrenaline rush of flying through the open desert and riding the toughest terrain he could find. He started riding mountain bikes in hopes of increasing his physical ability and overall fitness for desert racing. He started at Fullerton loop with his dad, just to get a feel for the difference between the two sports and got hooked immediately.
His love for mountain biking continued to grow and he started to invest more time in the sport in the summer of 2012. After missing the first three months at the beginning of 2013 due to a bruise on my knee bone, he started riding again in April and within a few months he started getting into a rhythm again. He started to get serious about training for XC races in summer of 2013. His first competitive race was in the Triple Crown Series, where he raced in the sport class. He ended up winning the overall series for the sport class in his age group. He quickly moved up and is now racing CAT 1 in the Fontana series and hopes to do well in CAT 1 in the upcoming US Cup series.
